Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS)

Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS)

Our Vocational Rehabilitation Services at Kesma Flame Lily LLC are designed to empower individuals with disabilities to develop essential skills and experiences necessary for competitive employment. We offer comprehensive support and guidance to help you navigate the vocational rehabilitation process and achieve your career goals.

Minnesota has two federal- and state-funded Vocational Rehabilitation programs: Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) and State Services for the Blind (SSB). Both offer Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) as well as other services to help youth reach their work and independent living goals.

Key Components of our Vocational Rehabilitation Services:

  1. Assessment and Planning: Our assessment process evaluates your skills, abilities, interests, and career goals to create a personalized vocational plan. Our vocational specialists collaborate with you to develop a plan that outlines specific goals, training needs, and employment objectives.

  2. Skills Development: We focus on enhancing job-related skills such as communication, computer literacy, job-specific tasks, and workplace etiquette. We offer tailored training programs and workshops to improve your employability and readiness for competitive job opportunities.

  3. Job Placement Assistance: Our team assists with job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and networking to help you secure suitable employment. We collaborate with employers to identify job openings and advocate for accommodations and support as needed.

  4. Workplace Accommodations: We advocate for reasonable accommodations in the workplace, such as assistive technology, modified work schedules, and accessible facilities. We work closely with employers to create inclusive and supportive work environments that promote your success and well-being.

  5. Career Counseling and Support: Our career counselors provide guidance on career exploration, goal setting, and long-term career planning. We offer continuous support, mentorship, and follow-up services to ensure your sustained success and career advancement.
